  Troy Small" The UHCAA is a professional organization that has a lot of meaning to me because it allows me to connect with the community and be involved within the community as a whole on a broader scale. I personally enjoy participating with planning and organizing the events in which both former and current members participates. One of my favorite part in serving in this organization is that we fundraise throughout the year in order to provide thousands of dollars in scholarships for students to be able to attend the University of Houston every year. "

By participating with this organization I have been able to re-establish relationships and cultivate new ones. This organization has allowed me to give back to the University and the community in ways that I never imagined. Because of the engagement with Alumni, student athletes and the University as a whole, I have enjoyed a fulfillment in life that goes a long way in helping an individual understand their purpose for being put here on Earth.
