About UHCAA
UHCAA is dedicated to uniting and reuniting Cougars, promoting the legacy of athletes, bridging transitions for student athletes, and advancing the interests of the University of Houston. Chartered in 2003 as a Houston Alumni Organization constituent, UHCAA has distinguished itself by supporting Cougar athletic programs across the board, tailgating for every home game, maintaining significant block seating, and hosting numerous events supporting athletics.
In addition to attending sports events and tailgating, UHCAA has established an active presence in the university by participating in such programs as Tier I, Cougars Advocates Across Texas, serving on the Alumni Council and the board of HAA.
UHCAA's commitment to the community is evidenced by our participation in the university's Operation School Supplies, our Thanksgiving food drive, “Step Up To The Plate”, and our holiday toy drive that has supported The House of Tiny Treasures for the past five years. UHCAA holds its annual golf tournament which has allowed us to contribute over $80,000 in scholarships to both athletics and academics over the past five years.
UHCAA is a Houston Alumni Association four-time Red Banner Award winner and two-time Gold Banner Award recipient.
